The Honeywell Arts Academy Resonance Scholars have arrived in Wabash, IN, to begin their studies at the Academy. The 2023 Resonance Institute features students from Berklee, Stanford, NYU, and more! Resonance Institute scholars are at the intersection of the pristine technical training of classical musicians and cross-genre fluidity, led by faculty mentors Peter Dugan and the GRAMMY-winning trio Time for Three (Nicolas Kendall, Charles Yang, and Ranaan Meyer).
Last week, Honeywell Arts Academy Soundboard Scholars finished their week-long institute, concluding in performances at the Eagles Theatre and the Indiana Landmarks Center. Mert Yalniz, pianist from Germany, states that the Academy is “so open, and we are talking so much about music. I have never had so much input in so little days.” The Soundboard Insitute also held a performance for the Mayors of Northern Indiana who took a trip to Wabash to see the scholars during their dress rehearsal.
Resonance Scholars will perform live at the Eagles Theatre this Friday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m. Please reach out to schedule an interview or for additional information.
Throughout the month of June, the Academy has hosted 26 dedicated musicians from around the world, who have attended week-long institutes at the Eagles Theatre in Wabash. Led by GRAMMY-winning Artistic Director Ranaan Meyer of the trio Time for Three and world-renowned faculty, Wabass, Soundboard, and Resonance Institutes culminate in a live performance featuring participants and faculty and are followed by a meet and greet reception.
