Ordering up a Royal Feast on a tableside phone from within the double-decker bus at Clara’s Pizza King is a Richmond rite of passage. Meanwhile, the Red Front Pizza & Grill* on the east side of town boasts its own customer base of loyal fans for pizza.

Start the day off right with a steaming plate of biscuits and gravy at A.J.’s Main Street Diner, or nibble delectable baked goodies from Sweet Blessings Bistro Bakery. The Depot District’s Roscoe’s Coffee Bar and Tap Room* serves caffeinated beverages by day and craft beer by night.

For an elegant lunch or romantic date night, visit the Old Richmond Inn* in the gracious 1892 Grothaus home or the classy Cordial Cork Restaurant and Wine Bar* in the historic Depot District. You can also mangia on excellent antipasti, pastas, wood-fired pizzas, steaks and seafood at Galo’s Italian Grill*.

Wayne County’s oldest tavern, the 21+ only Legend’s Southside Bar* is the place to go for a great burger or a signature Penguin Tenderloin. A whimsical selection of sandwiches rules the menu at Little Sheba’s*, and live music accompanies hearty plates of smoky brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken at the nearby Firehouse BBQ and Blues*.

Sample to your heart’s content from the extensive lunch buffet at Gulzar’s Indian Cuisine, or enjoy a taste of authentic southeast Asian dishes at Thai Thara on Chester Boulevard.

Centerville maintains several cozy dining destinations, including the 5 Arch Brewing Company & scratch kitchen* named for the town’s most notable architectural feature. The Stone Hearth Café nestles inside the Warm Glow Candle Outlet where Centerville Road crosses I-70. For dessert or a sweet treat any time of day, pop in Auntie Em’s for pretty-as-a-picture farm fresh pies.
