25 young singers of the Community Choristers are learning about a dozen songs focused on animals and animal welfare from the historical movement, the “Bands of Mercy” for children, begun in England in 1878 but traveling to the US, with 1000s of bands for children across the US at turn of the century, and THREE Bands in Richmond, IN! This choir will sing some of the songs as pre-show music for the animal-welfare play _Charlotte’s Web_ at RCT but will sing ALL the songs–for choir and small groups–on November 10th, 2026, 5:30-6:30pm, at the Wayne County Historical Museum which will feature more about the historical Bands of Mercy.
